The North Alabama Chapter is excited to start the new year! For the month of January the North Alabama ASSP Chapter met on the 16th at the Decatur Morgan Hospital Parkway Campus. (See PowerPoint Here: Hoist Inspection Program) The group was also joined by Decatur Mayor, Tab Bowling, who spoke to the group about a recent survey completed for the North Alabama area. The Mayor explained the benefits of the survey while emphasizing the growth of the North Alabama market and infrastructure. Ashley spoke to the group about the impact of recycling in the state of Alabama and the risks involved with the recycling process to employees of recycling companies. In 1968, the Tennessee Valley Chapter was chartered in Decatur, AL. In 2011, the name was changed to the North Alabama Chapter. The Chapter’s geographical area is located in Northern Alabama. Chapter members are located in Cherokee, Colbert, Dekalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan counties in Alabama. Major cities in the Chapter’s geographical area include Decatur, Athens, Florence, Muscle Shoals and Huntsville, Alabama.
